Using trusted person access

This guide is for the trusted person who has been given access to selected records.

Trusted access is read-only. It allows the trusted person to view selected records and, where allowed, download associated documents.

Trusted access is designed to give a nominated person secure, read-only access to selected records when needed. It is not a full account login and does not allow account changes.

Use this guide if you have received a private trusted access link and 6-digit access code.

  • • What trusted access is
  • • How to use the private link
  • • How to enter the 6-digit code
  • • How to view and filter records
  • • How to open a record
  • • How to download documents where allowed
  • • How to use Summary PDF and Detailed PDF exports

Before using trusted access, make sure you have both parts of the access information.

  • • You need the private link.
  • • You also need the 6-digit access code.
  • • Trusted access is read-only, so records cannot be edited.
  • • You will only see records and documents the account holder has chosen to make visible.

Open the private link

Use the private trusted access link you have been given. This will take you to the secure access page.

Enter the 6-digit access code

Enter the access code exactly as provided. Both the link and the code are required before you can continue.

View the records list

After entering the correct code, you will see the records you have been allowed to access. This list may include category, reference, renewal date, document count, and created or updated dates.

Use filters and search if needed

You can filter by category, search by text, and narrow results using updated date filters if you need to find something specific.

Open a record

Select a record to view its details. You will only see the fields and sections made available in trusted access.

Download documents where allowed

If document access has been enabled for that record, documents will be shown and can be downloaded. If document access has not been enabled, documents will not appear.

The trusted records page provides two export options for the records currently visible to you.

Summary PDF

Summary PDF: a shorter overview of the records you are allowed to access.

Detailed PDF

Detailed PDF: a fuller export with more complete information for the records you are allowed to access.

These exports only include the records and documents currently visible through trusted access.

Can I edit any records?

No. Trusted access is read-only.

Why can’t I see every record?

You will only see records the account holder has chosen to make visible to trusted access.

Why are there no documents on some records?

Documents are only shown if document access has been enabled for that record.

What should I do if the link or code does not work?

Check that you are using the correct link and the current 6-digit code. If access still fails, contact the person who gave you access.
