Terms of Service
These Terms govern the use of the Myriad Monitor service operated by Myriad Monitor Limited.
1. The Service
Myriad Monitor provides an online service designed to help individuals organise important personal records, documents and practical information in one place.
The service is intended as an organisational tool only. It does not provide legal, financial, estate planning or professional advice.
2. Accounts
Access to the service requires a registered account. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity carried out through their account.
Users are responsible for ensuring that the information stored in their account is accurate and lawful.
3. User Content
Users retain ownership of all records and documents they upload to the service. Myriad Monitor Limited does not claim ownership of this content.
Users are responsible for the legality and accuracy of any information stored within their account.
4. Trusted Access
Users may nominate a trusted person who can view the records and documents stored within the account.
Trusted persons are granted read-only access. They may view and download information but cannot modify records, upload documents, delete information or change account settings.
The account holder is solely responsible for choosing trusted persons and determining whether access should be granted.
Myriad Monitor Limited does not verify relationships between users and trusted persons and does not determine legal entitlement to access account information.
5. Subscriptions and Payment
The service is provided through a paid subscription. Pricing is published on the website and may change from time to time.
If a subscription expires or payment fails, the account may be placed into a restricted read-only state until payment is restored.
6. Account Availability and Access
Myriad Monitor Limited aims to provide reliable access to the service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Temporary downtime may occur due to maintenance, upgrades or technical issues.
Trusted access may continue to function during periods where an account is in a restricted or read-only state due to subscription lapse.
The service does not determine whether a user is deceased, incapacitated or otherwise unable to access their account.
7. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Myriad Monitor Limited shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of data or loss of profits arising from the use of the service.
Subject to the above, the total liability of Myriad Monitor Limited arising from or in connection with the service shall not exceed the total amount paid by the user for the service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Account Inactivity and Data Retention
If a user ceases using the service and paying the subscription, their account may be placed into a restricted or archived state. During this time records and documents may remain stored but normal account access may be limited.
Myriad Monitor Limited generally retains records associated with inactive accounts for a period of up to five years before permanent deletion. This retention period exists to allow recovery of important information and to accommodate situations where users may be temporarily unable to access their account.
Nothing in this policy guarantees indefinite storage of data, and users are encouraged to maintain their own copies of important documents and records.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
